Broad Function:We are seeking a
Senior Product Managerwith a strong focus on hardware engineering to lead the development of our next-generation Smart box locker systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hardware design and development, working closely with hardware engineers and external partners to drive product innovation and excellence. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in product management, capable of balancing technical requirements with market demands.
Rolesand Responsibilities:Hardware Product Development:
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for Smart box lockers, focusing primarily on hardware design and development.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to design and develop innovative locker systems, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective solutions.
- Oversee prototyping, testing, and refinement processes for hardware components.
- Work with the software team to ensure seamless integration of hardware with back-end, middleware, and firmware solutions.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact between internal teams (hardware, marketing, sales) and external partners.
- Ensure alignment of product goals and timelines across all stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and technology partners to drive co-development efforts.
- Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs and industry trends related to hardware.
- Develop product roadmaps and strategic plans based on market insights and business goals.
- Define product specifications and prioritise hardware features to enhance product value and user experience.
Project Management:
- Create detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resources allocation.
- Monitor project progress, address challenges, and ensure timely delivery of product milestones.
- Implement Agile methodologies to streamline development processes and improve team collaboration.
- Quality Assurance:
- Establish and enforce quality standards for hardware components.
- Oversee the testing and validation of hardware features to ensure compliance with specifications and user expectations.
- Continuously gather feedback from customers and stakeholders to drive hardware product improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of product management experience, with a strong focus on hardware development.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in the development of complex hardware products.
- Deep understanding of hardware design, manufacturing processes, and quality assurance.
- Excellent project management skills, with experience in Agile methodologies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions .
