Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team, responsible for managing and driving the adoption of ORAN standards and features in our products. The role involves performing Pre-IOT checklists, finalizing FH IOT profiles, and collaborating with radio vendors on O-RU call flows and end-to-end IOT test scopes. You will prepare technical documents, guide product roadmaps, and ensure market requirements are accurately captured in our solutions. Optionally, you will manage partnerships with radio vendors and contribute to responses for various RFx from global operators.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform Pre-IOT checklist and agree on the FH IOT profile CSUM plane parameters with radio vendors.
- Discuss O-RU call flows with engineering teams and drive the adoption of these flows with radio vendors.
- Discuss FH and end-to-end IOT test scope and agree on the test cases with radio vendors based on operator use cases and IOT requirements.
- Study ORAN WG4 standards contributions, analyze the features for adoption in Rakuten products, and drive the feature adoption for the selected features.
- Prepare technical documents including feature specifications and high-level design and drive the product roadmap to realize these features.
- Work closely with engineering teams to follow the development life cycle and ensure market requirements are properly captured in the products and solutions.
- Guide technical publication with documentation requirements and provide content input to ensure readiness in all aspects of new product introduction.
- Participate in and contribute to providing responses to various RFx from global operators.
- Manage and develop partnerships with Radio vendors.
Education and Experience:
- A Master's degree in Engineering is preferred, with a focus on Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Strong understanding of ORAN FH WG4 specifications: CUS-plane and M-plane.
- Good understanding and knowledge of OAM architecture and protocols for FCAPS support.
- Good understanding of RU and DU YANG packages defined by ORAN and 3GPP.
- Good understanding of LTE, 5G architecture, and RAN concepts.
- Experience in a Product Management or System Engineering role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in interacting with and presenting to senior executives and high-profile customers.
- Willingness to travel when required.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
