Key Qualifications:
- Must be a CA
- 4-10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with expertise in reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of IndAS and GAAP/IFRS and accounting principles.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and a strong understanding of process automation. This role will focus on maintaining financial accuracy, supporting automation initiatives, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Reporting:
- Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Manage the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IndAS.
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and external audit requirements.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
Reconciliations & Financial Controls:
- Perform and oversee detailed account reconciliations for critical accounts, including bank reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
- Investigate and resolve any variances or discrepancies identified during the reconciliation process.
- Ensure financial data accuracy and integrity by maintaining robust internal controls.
- Continuously improve reconciliation processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
Automation & Process Improvements:
- Lead initiatives to automate accounting and financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the tech team to identify opportunities for automation in areas like financial reporting, reconciliations, and transaction processing.
- Create and maintain financial dashboards and automated reports to provide real-time insights for management.
- Provide training and support to finance teams on the use of automation tools and new systems.
Taxation (Basic Understanding):
- Assist in ensuring compliance with basic taxation requirements, such as GST, and corporate income tax.
- Support in preparing tax returns and working with external tax advisors for compliance.
Financial Analysis & Support:
- Provide financial analysis to support decision-making, including identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and assist in forecasting as required by senior management.
