Role : Sr. Manager Environmental Management

Role and Responsibilities :
- To drive compliance across facilities, the Environment lead will be expected to understand the Environmental compliance requirements of the quick commerce/ warehousing business and develop a strategy around achieving compliance including identifying specialists to support on closing compliance gap appointing auditors and conducting internal audits.
- Required to publish an annual BRSR report every year as per SEBI regulations. BRSR reporting requirements require robust Environment data management as reports also require external audits.
- Sr. Manager Environment will be expected to build robust environment data capture, management and reporting systems from ground up leveraging past experience of leading such a function in supply chain/ sustainability/facilities for a reputed manufacturing, food services or logistics organization.
To be successful in this role the candidate will need to be adept at:
- Building relationships and working closely with internal stakeholders in supply chain and facilities to deeply understand existing processes and explain those processes
- Identify the right resources on ground in warehouses/ dark stores to support reporting requirements.
- Evaluate diverse technology solutions to support reporting especially for environmental parameters such as energy and water.
- Develop and drive energy reduction, water conservation and waste reduction strategies and initiatives for the group in collaboration with facilities and supply chain
- Designing engaging training programmes to help team members across group upskill on EHS and Sustainability.
- To identify and develop a core team of Environmental management champions who will take forward the Environment and sustainability agenda.
Qualifications :
- 7-13 years in Environment management, working in facilities with a listed company in India
- Must have sound understanding of the environmental compliance related laws and acts
- Must have experience managing people
- Preferred exposure to BRSR reporting and audit requirements
- Preferred warehouse experience
- Strong communication skills oral and written.
