Site Name: Bengaluru Luxor North Tower Posted Date: Nov 18 2024 The primary purpose of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is to be responsible for ensuring Commercial Local Operating Companies (LOCs) and Global Support Function sites meet the GSK EHS standards and local legislations and manage the delivery of efficient and effective EHS services. This role also provides technical support to LOCs to meet GSK's EHS objectives, as well as implementing systems and best practices to ensure proactive measures are taken for continuous improvement. The LOCs within scope of this role include key commercial operations, sites and support functions that have a high level of importance to the delivery of medicines to patients. As such it is an impactful and influential position within the regional and global EHS team, supporting workplaces that prioritize healthy, safe, and thriving people. Key Responsibilities: Support the local implementation of the commercial EHS operating model to ensure compliance with local legislation, GSK's Internal Control Framework (ICF) and GSK standards. Act as primary contact for India market and work with Commercial leaders, Human Resources, Compliance, and other functions to ensure healthy and safe workplaces in which people can thrive. Support the development of EHS Councils or Risk Management Compliance Boards locally, to ensure risks are being discussed, escalated and appropriate resources and plans are in place. Provide risk management expertise and facilitate commercial EHS risk assessments in LOCs to help compliance and commercial execution. Work with Workplace Real Estate and Facilities (WREF) to ensure a safe infrastructure is in place within all office environments and high hazard areas are well-resourced and managed to ensure safe and effective workspaces. Work closely with Regional Health, Wellbeing and Health promotion teams, topic specialists and project teams to support people needs in commercial LOCs and global function sites. Provide technical advice to LOCs for EHS compliance training, risk management, incident investigation management and reporting. Deliver global and regional EHS projects and campaigns to markets including improving people health and safety through communicating GSK's Life Saving Rules Demonstrate flexibility and technical excellence to business peers and LOC advocates and management, being agile in the resolution of emerging issues and escalations. Work with other key EHS professionals to deliver an efficient service to GSK staff, and interface effectively with business partners, facilities, and project management staff. Job-Related Experience required: Overall years of experience 12-15 years. Bachelor level degree in Engineering(must). Master level degree or Certification in EHS would be an advantage. 12 years of EHS experience in a site based or regional role. Experience working in large organizations, in a matrix environment.
