About Amar Chitra Katha: Amar Chitra Katha is an Indian comic book publisher, based in Mumbai, India. The company was founded in 1967 by Anant Pai and is headquartered in Mumbai, India. Most of its comics are based on religious legends and epics, historical figures and biographies, folktales and cultural stories.
I am looking to hire a manager/senior manager for the Brand Stories and Licensing team. This profile will focus on growing the licensing & content businesses for ACK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue targets for licensing & commissioned content
- Expanding the content revenue stream through transmedia content solutions in legacy and new age platforms, and ad sales revenue through legacy platforms
- Growing the number of licensing categories, creating new IPs using the company's content and characters
- Managing all operational aspects such as nurturing licensees, negotiating legal agreements, enforcing contracts, etc.
Content and ad sales
- Growing the commissioned content & ad sales revenues, in line with the business objectives
- Making inroads into media agencies and clients with proactive pitching, to source out briefs and content requirements
- Ability to ideate and come up with client centric, transmedia solutions independently and in association with the creative team
- Drive the process end to end identifying potential clients, pitching, closing deals, executing and revenue collection
Licensing
- Mapping the licensing market categories, shortlisting those with a strong brand fitment to expand ACK's market presence & appointing licensees in the selected spaces;
- Managing existing licensees to expand their business & constantly evaluate growth opportunities with them;
- Leveraging the company's IPs (characters like Suppandi etc, ACK content) across various channels/platforms and product categories including TV, OTT, gaming (board games and video games), merchandising etc.
- Syndication of ACK content across mainstream media platforms
