As an Alphawave Semi, Application Engineer, you are responsible working with Front End Design engineers (RTL and Verification) to validate collaterals to customers designing their SoC with our IP s. In this role, you will enable IP Integration of Front end and Backend Collaterals, address customer issues enabling, configuring and integrating Alphawave Products. In addition, you will regularly engage with internal RD team to provide customer application specific expertise to improve our product offerings. In addition, you will manage a team of Solution engineers to track and manage their work.
What you'll Do
- Be part of the IPG Application Engineering team to work closely on Design Verification, Pre-silicon Validation and Post-Silicon Validation teams to qualify AW IPs.
- Drive technical communication to customers from kick-off to silicon bring up.
- Diagnose, debug, and resolve customers issues during integration, simulation, implementation, timing closure, and silicon bring up.
- Author Data Sheets, Product Briefs, User guides and Application notes to enable customers to successfully design with our products or address specific design considerations
- Occasional travel may be required.
What you'll Need
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- Minimum of 3-6 years relevant IP /or ASIC experience which can include mixed signal circuit design OR front-end design, synthesis, static timing analysis, formal verification, design verification and/or silicon validation.
- Seen end to end and seen silicon at least once.
- Domain knowledge of one the following interface protocols:
- PCIe, CXL, Ethernet, HBM, DDR, or UCIe
It d Be Amazing If You Had
- Extensive working experience with PCIe and/or Ethernet serdes
- Extensive working experience with industry standard simulators, timing analysis, firmware, hardware debug.
- Experience creating API-C test cases/DPI-C functions for configuring registers.
- Masters/PhD in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering or Engineering Science
