Sr. Engineering Manager - AI/ML

About the opportunity:

VideoVerse is looking for a Sr. Engineering Manager - Core AI to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the ambitious vision of Video Understanding our users, setting the technical and process direction for the team, and hiring and developing a world-class team to deliver high-quality ML systems.

Magnifi, is an AI-powered enterprise product that automatically detects key moments in video content, enabling real-time creation of highlights and short-form videos. With a global presence, Magnifi collaborates with various industries, including OTT platforms, sports broadcasters, and e-gaming platforms. Their vision is to empower users to create and share impactful stories across digital platforms with ease. Fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, Magnifi's leadership team is dedicated to leveraging AI for simplified video editing. Roles and responsibilities:

• Lead a team of talented machine learning engineers to design, develop, and deploy Video Understanding models at scale
• Define the technical direction for the team, including the development of video foundations models, data pipelines, and infrastructure
• Set clear goals and expectations for the team and ensure that they are met
• Hire, develop, and mentor top ML engineering talent
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, research) to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in Computer Vision, Multimodal and related fields

Desired skills and experience:

• Bachelors/Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years of experience in machine learning engineering
• Proven track record of shipping high-quality, scalable machine learning systems
• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Experience building and managing high-performing team of Engineers and Researchers
• Passion for Computer Vision and its applications
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
