Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for ETL processes and SQL scripts.
- Validate data transformations, data quality, and data integrity throughout the ETL process.
- Perform thorough testing of PowerBI reports, ensuring accuracy, performance, and visual consistency.
- Collaborate with ETL developers, BI developers, and business analysts to understand requirements and identify test scenarios.
- Automate repetitive testing tasks to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Document and report defects, track their resolution, and ensure closure.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on data quality and performance issues.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of experience in QA testing with a focus on ETL processes and SQL scripting.
- Proficient in writing and executing complex SQL queries for data validation.
- Strong experience with PowerBI testing, including validating data visualizations and performance metrics.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
