Summary/Objective
Job Overview
Provide technical expertise and support in the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects. Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery within specified timelines and budget constraints.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Participate in project planning, including defining project objectives, scope, deliverables, and constraints.
- Collaborate with project managers / Planning engineers and stakeholders to develop project schedules and resource plans.
- Technical specification review and resolution for cryogenic/non-cryogenic P&ID instruments
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials, and equipment as per project schedule.
- Coordinate the collection and dissemination of technical information between/within the company and the customer.
- Estimate project costs and monitor expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, progress reports, and change orders.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and identify and address deviations from the project plan.
- Foster effective communication and maintain strong relationships with clients, team members, and other project stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and quality.
- Include in the procurement of P&ID items of the project as per contractual requirements
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
- Selects and recommends procedures or development of methods for the project department.
- Responsible for control of work-in-progress, ensuring accurate client billings, monitoring outstanding accounts receivable, and collection efforts on related projects.
- Receives/solicits guidance on unusual and/or complex problems and supervisory approval on work plans.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Qualifications
Education, Experience, and Skills
- Diploma Mechanical/Chemical or BE Mechanical/Chemical
- 6 to 7 years of experience as a Diploma Holder and 4 to 5 Years as BE Mechanical
- Problem-solving skills, Learning attitude, Team player
- Handled Minimum 1 to 1.5 years lead time projects.
- Knowledge of Cryogenic industries / ASU plants
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in engineering principles and practices.
