Senior Engineer Applications
Duties & Responsibilities
- Understand the coating requirements from the coating specification and part drawings. Identify the coating areas and select the coating parameters from standard data sheets considering the most relevant process, technology and material.
- Develop fixture design and robot program for new applications to ensure most optimal material consumption and efficient coating process.
- Determine material consumption and cycle time through optimal spray process development.
- Estimate costing of the part considering all variable and fixed costing elements relevant to the process.
- Ensure process are developed in-line with standards (QMS,EMS, HSE and Internal operation standards).
- Collaborate with operations team to provide training to the operators and implement the developed process for mass production ensuring product quality and efficient productivity levels.
- Support and develop necessary process documentation pertaining to NADCAP,IATF requirements.
Required Education, Experience, Knowledge
- University degree / diploma in science/ engineering.
- Minimum 3 years experience in operations using Robotic Thermal spray processes HVOF and Plasma.
- Understanding of critical process parameters and quality requirement in thermal spray process.
- Ability to understand component engineering drawings and understand coating requirements.
- Knowledge of process cost estimation recommended.
