Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our server infrastructure, ensuring server health, and managing deployments within our AWS Kubernetes environment. This role requires a blend of operational expertise, coding skills, and experience with cloud services and container orchestration.

In just one year, we have grown rapidly and currently serve over 30 customers, with 4-5K end customers using our platform daily. Key Responsibilities:

- Server Maintenance and Monitoring:

- Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and availability of servers hosted on AWS.

- Monitor server health, implement alerts, and respond to incidents to maintain uptime and performance.

- Conduct regular system audits and security reviews to identify potential issues and vulnerabilities.

- Kubernetes Management:

- Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters, ensuring efficient deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.

- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.

- Optimize Kubernetes resources to ensure cost-effective and efficient utilization.

- Automation and Scripting:

- Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and CloudFormation.

- Automate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to manage and provision cloud resources.

- Collaboration and Communication:

- Work closely with development, QA, and IT teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define infrastructure requirements and provide technical guidance.

- Document processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and operational continuity.

- Performance Tuning and Optimization:

- Analyze system performance metrics and implement tuning measures to enhance performance.

- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues at the application and infrastructure levels.

- Conduct capacity planning and scaling activities to support growth and usage patterns.

- Security and Compliance:

- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

- Manage access controls, network security, and data protection measures.

- Perform regular security assessments and remediation activities.

Qualifications:

- Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

- Experience:

- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.

- Extensive experience with AWS services and Kubernetes.

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.

- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.) and experience with automation tools.

- Skills:

- In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.

- Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).

- Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).

- Experience with logging and monitoring tools like ELK stack, Splunk, etc.

- Knowledge of database management and optimization (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).

- Experience with agile development practices and methodologies.
