Sr. Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for road-rail vehicles.
• Lead projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet design specifications.
• Perform advanced load/stress and dynamic analyses to ensure designs meet safety and performance standards.
• Innovate and implement design improvements for better efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including design drawings and specifications.
• Assist the Lead Design Engineer in overseeing the design team's operations.
• Contribute to the development of design strategies and ensure their implementation.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure designs meet cross-functional requirements.
• Oversee the progress of projects from concept to production, ensuring they adhere to timelines and budgets.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and standards.
• Conduct complex design and analysis tasks to ensure vehicle performance meets standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Significant 4+ years of experience in heavy machinery industry preferably EOT, Road vehicle, Automobiles.
• Proficient in mechanisms, drive systems, powertrains, vehicle design, load/stress analysis, and dynamic analysis and other design calculations.
• Proficient in CAD software and analysis tools for load/stress and dynamic analysis.
• Extensive experience in mechanical design, preferably in road-rail vehicle manufacturing.
• Experience with design software such as Solidworks, Auto CAD and PDM
• Extensive knowledge in Machining, GD&T, Hydraulic & Pneumatics, and proper documentation in standards.
• Must have good knowledge in workshop and field trial.
• Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
