Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team and develop an advanced pricing optimization and forecasting AI/ML model. This individual will play a critical role in designing, building, and deploying a real-time dynamic pricing system that adjusts to competitor price movements and market conditions. The ideal candidate is hands-on with machine learning, proficient in data extraction and preparation, and passionate about delivering impactful business solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Model Developmentand Optimization
- Design and build AI/ML models to recommend optimal real-time prices for specific products.
- Develop algorithms to dynamically adjust prices based on different conditions.
- Implement and validate predictive models for forecasting price sensitivity and
- demand elasticity.
Data Extraction and Management
- Extract, clean, and preprocess data from internal and external sources.
- Work with APIs and web scraping tools to gather real-time competitor data.
- Design ETL pipelines to manage large-scale datasets eHiciently.
Feature Engineering and Analytics
- Identify key features and variables impacting pricing decisions.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover insights and trends.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business metrics and key performance
- indicators (KPIs).
Deployment and Real-time Integration
- Deploy machine learning models into production systems to deliver real-time price recommendations.
- Monitor and fine-tune models to ensure accuracy and adaptability in dynamic environments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate solutions with existing systems.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with product, marketing, and operations teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, or applied statistics.
- Proven experience in building and deploying pricing optimization models or similar systems.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Python (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience in optimization algorithms, statistical modeling, and time-series
- forecasting.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases for data extraction and
- management.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for deploying
- ML solutions.
- Familiarity with web scraping tools (e.g., BeautifulSoup, Scrapy) and API
- integrations.
Analytical Skills
- Strong foundation in data analysis, feature engineering, and predictive modeling.
- Expertise in demand forecasting and price elasticity modeling is a plus.
SoftSkills
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, or supply chain industries.
