Job Description:
The Data Engineer is responsible for the development of highly scalable ETL and data flow applications adhering to software development best practices. This position requires advanced SQL scripting who understands data visualization. The person will design Data Warehouses in modern column-oriented database systems and develop data reporting solutions.
We are seeking candidate who is equally enthusiastic about Artificial Intelligence and has hands-on experience with various AI models and is keen to apply this experience to develop intelligent solutions that impact our products and services
This is a Hybrid role to Chennai Office.
Responsibilities:
- Develop ETL processes delivering high-quality code, following coding best practices.
- Create and implement complex analytical data models that support reporting and analytics business requirements.
- Prepare test scripts and perform functional unit, integration, and regression testing. Coordinate and drive user acceptance testing.
- Support and troubleshoot issues/bugs in data pipeline and SQLs for analytics.
- Analyze the use of data, design and create data marts based on requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain AI systems that align with business objectives.
- Analyze and improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability of current AI systems.
- Document and present model development, validation, and implementation details for AI projects
- Design and build reporting solutions.
- Work with Functional/Business resources on day-to-day basis to understand business requirements and processes.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Experience in Data Engineering development and best practices.
- Accomplished expert SQL Skills to include data management, mining, and modeling
- Experience in Google Cloud Platform especially at BigQuery, Airflow, pubsub, and dataflow are preferred.
- Advanced SQL knowledge, database, and data modeling knowledge
- Strong in programming languageslike Python.
- Experience in Data completeness and accuracy checks and setup.
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to write technical documents.
- Ability to communicate issues and recommend solutions in a timely manner to Management.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and development practices
- Experience with a variety of database platforms and technologies.
Assets for this role:
- GCP this is a must.other cloud exp such as Azure, it is an asset
- Created Pipelines in the past
- Technical expertise in data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
- Hands-on experience with SQL database design
- Great numerical and analytical skills
Nice to Have:
- 2+ years of Experience with AI frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras).
- Retail experience will be considered an asset.
