The Sr Business Process Analyst is responsible for leading and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the planning organization. This role involves analyzing, designing, and optimizing business processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a thorough grasp of process improvement methodologies in the Plan to deliver space, and the capability to influence and drive change at all organizational levels. Additionally, this position requires a solid understanding of planning foundations and in-depth knowledge of ERP systems.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Identify areas for improvement within the supply chain processes, to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Act as a liaison between business and GIS, translating business needs into technical requirements and coordinating with GIS to implement effective solutions.
- Lead continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and other relevant tools.
- Develop and implement efficient processes to boost productivity and operational efficiency.
- Act as a change agent to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to gain buy-in and support for process changes.
- Proficient in data analysis, able to interpret complex data sets, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Analyze and refine requirements for delivering necessary technology services within the supply chain planning area.
- Provide first-line support and insights for the supply planning team and cross-functional departments on troubleshooting, methodologies, and data issues related to planning tools. Translate business requests into functional requirements and coordinate with GIS (Global Information Services).
- Familiarity with supply chain management software (eg, SAP ECC/IBP, Oracle, JDA) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Prepare and present reports on process improvement activities, outcomes, and recommendations.
- Experience working cross-functionally with various organizations within Illumina, such as Supply Chain, Commercial Operations, Global Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Development, to ensure alignment and support for process improvement initiatives.
Education/Experience
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, process improvement, and project management.
- Certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, or APICS CPIM/CSCP are highly desirable.
