The HR Senior Associate is responsible for accurately processing bonuses, allowances, and generating compensation-related letters in a timely manner. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including HR, business units, Payroll, Finance, and employees. The ideal candidate should be a quick learner, team player, and possess proficiency in Japanese language to effectively support the work.
The successful candidate will be responsible for keying and processing compensation transactions, generating compensation change letters, and bonus award letters, while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. They will engage with HR stakeholders, business units, and support functions to resolve compensation-related inquiries and issues, fostering strong relationships and trust.
Additionally, the HR Senior Associate will play a crucial role in continuously improving processes, identifying areas for optimization, and proposing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Maintaining accurate records, adhering to data privacy and security standards, and staying informed about relevant laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits are essential aspects of this role.

Key job responsibilities
Input, update and maintain employee related data in a timely manner with a strong eye-for-detail while making data entries and while preparing documents
Maintain, manage and regularly audit the work
Partner with diverse HR teams, provide support and process transactions to deliver a top-notch day one experience to Employees.
Carry out audits and checks on data changes to ensure accuracy and adhere to strict confidentiality standards.
Identify bottlenecks and trouble shoot issues.
Ensure service level commitments and quality standards are met.
Continually strive to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the processes.
Involve in projects as necessary as subject matter expert and work towards the goals of the project.
A day in the life
A successful candidate for this role will focus on ensuring monthly audits are completed and data is updated by the required payroll cut-offs.
On a daily basis the successful candidate will handle tickets and code bonuses through various Amazon tools to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time.
When a successful candidate encounters process gaps, they should document and provide recommendation on how to improve the process.
The successful candidate may be asked to go beyond their regular responsibilities by supporting other Compensation Operations teams, owning projects, and driving process improvements with tech teams.
Basic Qualifications
- Read and Write Japanese Fluently
- Human resources experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to HR tools such as Peopleportal, iCIMS, Salesforce
- Experience in managing confidential and sensitive employee information.
- Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment
- Global mindset - experience working with international customers and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to identify process defects, make recommendations for process improvements, and implement/influence process improvements.
