Job Summary:
The Senior Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounts and finance, including managing receivables, payables, GST and other compliance, trial balance preparation, inventory management, foreign remittance, financial reporting, and strategic financial analysis. The role involves close coordination with the internal auditor and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with all regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- 1. Accounts Receivables and Payables Management: o Manage and monitor accounts receivable and payable processes. o Ensure timely collection of receivables and prompt payment of payables. o Conduct regular ledger scrutiny to identify and resolve discrepancies. o Ensure no outstanding balances remain unpaid beyond agreed terms.
- 2. Financial Reporting and Compliance: o Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports.
- o Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all financial documentation. o Prepare and review trial balances regularly.
- o Oversee GST filings and ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements.
- 3. Inventory and Foreign Remittance Management: o Manage inventory accounting for reefer and dry containers. Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of inventory levels.
- o Oversee and manage foreign remittance processes.
- 4. Audit Coordination and Financial Strategy: o Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits. o Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations. o Provide strategic recommendations based on financial data analysis to improve profitability and cost-efficiency.
- 5. Leadership and Cross-Department Collaboration:
- o Lead and supervise the accounts team, motivating and guiding a team of accountants and finance professionals. o Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning, decision making, and budget allocation. o Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Mandatory CA with 2+ years of experience.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in accounting software Tally is mandatory and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
