Responsibilities:
- Verify, allocate, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions with precision and accuracy.
Compile error-free accounting reports and present findings to stakeholders.- Analyze financial data to provide summaries of financial status and identify areas for improvement.
Identify errors in financial records and recommend strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce spending.
- Offer technical support and guidance on management accounting principles.
Evaluate existing accounting systems and procedures, recommending modifications where necessary.- Supervise accounting assistants and bookkeepers, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
Contribute to financial standards development and participate in forecasting activities.
- Provide input into departmental goal-setting initiatives.
Prepare financial statements and budgets according to established schedules.- Assist with tax audits and preparation of tax returns.
Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Plan, assign, and review the work of staff members.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Collaborate with the Financial Manager and Accounting Manager to enhance financial procedures and controls.
