SQL Data Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Write and optimize SQL code on Snowflake platform for data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
• Analyze existing SSIS codebase, understand its functionality, and redesign and enhance it for implementation on Snowflake.
• Lead the migration of SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS objects to Snowflake, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
• Develop and implement transformations based on business logic requirements for various use cases, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Perform performance optimization in SQL queries to enhance data processing efficiency and reduce latency.
• Design robust ETL frameworks to automate data workflows, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Skill Set:

Essential:

• 7+ years of overall experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on SQL.
• Solid understanding of database concepts and data modeling principles.
• Proficiency in SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS with at least 3 years of recent experience.
• Strong understanding of ETL frameworks and methodologies.
• Experience working with at least two ETL tools alongside SSIS.
• Self-motivated individual with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to take ownership of tasks. Excellent teamwork skills.

Desirable:

• Experience working with Git for version control.
• Familiarity with Matillion for cloud-native ETL processing.
• Exposure to Databricks for big data processing and analytics.
• Knowledge of Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Experience Range:

• Minimum 7 years of overall experience as a Data Engineer.
• At least 3 years of recent experience in SQL development.
