About the Role:
The Idea-to-Startup initiative is seeking a proactive and driven Sponsorship Manager to secure sponsorships and partnerships with industry leaders and tech companies. The role is crucial in driving financial support, resources, and in-kind contributions to the program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, target, and engage potential sponsors for the program (tech companies, coworking spaces, incubators, etc.).
- Develop sponsorship packages and pitch decks tailored to different sponsor needs.
- Conduct outreach to corporate sponsors, community partners, and ecosystem enablers.
- Build long-lasting relationships with sponsors, ensuring they receive value and exposure from their involvement.
- Collaborate with the Program Director to align sponsorships with program objectives and deliverables.
- Negotiate contracts, deliverables, and expectations with sponsors.
- Track and report on sponsorship milestones, maintaining transparency and regular communication.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, or sponsorship management.
- Proven track record of securing corporate sponsorships or partnerships.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to create compelling pitch decks and sponsorship proposals.
- Familiarity with the startup and entrepreneurial ecosystem is a plus.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple relationships.
