- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments of patients needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including doctors, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and educators.
- Provide education and counseling to patients, caregivers, and families about speech and language disorders and effective communication strategies.
- Utilize a variety of treatment techniques such as articulation therapy, language intervention, and alternative communication methods.
- Maintain detailed patient records and prepare reports for tracking patient progress and outcomes.
- Conduct speech and language screenings and identify potential issues in both children and adults.
