58,198 - ,90,688 p.a. for basic 10 PA appointment, placement on scale depends on previous recognised experience. EPAs available subject to mutual agreement. No on-call commitment envisaged.

The Role
A Specialty Doctor post(s) in Old Age Psychiatry is available within the Older Adults Mental Health Team in the Scottish Borders. The successful applicant(s), accountable to the consultant, will provide intermediate level medical input, delivering care and promoting a multi-disciplinary/multi-agency approach.
You must have full registration with the GMC with a licence to practice. You should have completed at least four years full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a less than full-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a psychiatry specialty training programme or as a specialty registrar locum appointment for training (LAT); or you can demonstrate equivalent training, experience or competencies, either in the UK or overseas. Applicants should be an Approved Medical Practitioner or willing to gain approval once in post. MRC Psych or equivalent is also essential.
