Job Description

  • Vulnerability Management:
    • Develop and implement a robust vulnerability management program tailored to the organization s needs.
    • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments using tools such as Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7.
    • Analyze and prioritize vulnerabilities based on potential impact and exploitability.
    • Work with IT teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities, ensuring timely and effective fixes.
    • Continuously refine vulnerability management processes to enhance detection and remediation capabilities.
  • Security Architecture and Integration:
    • Design and integrate vulnerability and patch management solutions into the enterprise security architecture.
    • Implement and manage tools for automated vulnerability scanning and resolution management by integrating with other IT systems (JIRA/ServiceNow).
    • Develop and enforce system hardening guidelines to reduce vulnerability exposure.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Generate regular reports on the status of vulnerabilities activities.
    • Maintain detailed documentation of vulnerability management processes, policies, and procedures.
    • Develop and track metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of vulnerability and patch management efforts.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with IT, development, and business teams to ensure alignment on vulnerability management priorities.
    • Conduct training sessions and create awareness materials to educate staff on best practices for vulnerability management.
    • Develop and distribute security advisories to inform stakeholders of critical vulnerabilities and necessary actions.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in information security, with a focus on Windows vulnerability management.
  • Proven experience with vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7)
  • Bachelor s degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Proficiency with vulnerability scanning tools and configuring/running scans.
  • Ability to analyze scan results, identify false positives, and prioritize vulnerabilities.
  • Strong scripting skills to automate the process
  • Expertise in evaluating the severity and impact of vulnerabilities using CVSS.
  • Experience in developing and implementing remediation plans.
  • Strong research skills to stay updated on the latest vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.
  • General Skills:
  • In-depth understanding of operating systems, networking, and cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages for automation of tasks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed technical documentation and reports.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.
