Specialist, Reserving 2nd Opinion

This position is part of the AXA XL Risk Management team which is organized in several Centers of Excellence (Actuarial Risk, Underwriting Risk, Risk Governance and Control, Financial and Market Risk and Catastrophe Risk). This role is part of the Reserving team of the Actuarial Risk Center of Excellence and based in India. The Risk Management team is a strategic department within AXA XL dealing with the most difficult P&C challenges and influencing strategic decisions in operations of a leading international Commercial Lines and Reinsurance company. The actuarial analysis and valuations carried out by Risk Management's Reserve 2nd Opinion team cover all technical provisions, for the full range of AXA XL's lines of business, on a worldwide basis. Analysts and Specialists work together with the Reserve 2nd Opinion actuaries and take part in various analytical projects to support the achievement of the team objectives. One of the core objectives of the team is to provide an opinion of AXA XL's technical reserves and profitability. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to prepare and support the actuarial reserve assessment for several lines of businesses, encompassing both the Insurance and Reinsurance segments.

What will your essential responsibilities include
.Assist the Reserve 2nd Opinion actuaries to conduct regular technical and reserve valuation analyses across relevant lines of business. Contribute to Risk Management's opinion on the Business Plan loss ratios. Contribute to the performance, from time to time, of deep dive analysis on specific Lines of Business.
.Prepare actuarial reports, results summaries, and various exhibits in appropriate form for stakeholders.
.Assist the Reserve 2nd Opinion team in preparing the process, tools, and databases, maintain databases & perform reconciliation checks.
.Assist the Reserve 2nd Opinion team in developing tools for new needs as well as in enhancing tools for improved efficiency, reliability, or functionality.
.Maintain up-to-date documentation of processes.
You will report to the Reserve 2nd Opinion actuary.

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
Required Skills and Abilities:
.Relevant experience in P&C actuarial fields, with an outstanding reserving background.
.Undergraduate degree in a numerate subject and at least 5 CS and CM Series Exams (Institute of Actuaries) or equivalent.
.Advanced technical P&C actuarial knowledge in reserving. Proficientin actuarial reserving software.
.Demonstrable experience and skill in developing actuarial models or reporting tools.
.Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
.Keen attention to detail.
.Robust oral and written communication skills.
.Keen ability to enhance/organize team working practices.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
.Outstanding computer application skills, specifically Excel, Power Query, Power BI, SQL, and Visual Basic Application.
.Ability to work with minimum supervision.
.Ability to work resiliently and as part of a team.
.Ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines and be responsible for priorities and deadlines for others.
.Capability to work in a multicultural environment with correspondents located in the US, France, India, and the UK.
