We are the captive Shared Service Provider for DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Freight (DGFF). We are an organization of more than 4,600 colleagues complemented by approximately 500 virtual FTE (i.e., bots applied in process automation). Our colleagues are based across six service delivery centers in Mumbai, Chennai, Chengdu, Manila, Bogota & Budapest. You will interact with people from all over the world and get the chance to a truly international organization.
The Intercompany Expert is responsible for managing receivables and payables between intercompany partners, ensuring accurate ICE submissions, statement bookings, and payment allocations. This role also involves month-end provisions, revaluations, and comprehensive reporting of intercompany balances to facilitate month-end close and reconciliation processes. The Intercompany Expert plays a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy and adherence to established standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage daily Intercompany (IC) activities, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines, especially during Month-End Close (MEC).
- Prepare and post monthly IC journals, encompassing Recharge, Adjustment, Allocation, Bank, and Payments, to maintain accurate financial records.
- Execute month-end IC close activities within specified timelines, including Subledger Reconciliation, Crest Reporting, FX Revaluation, Interface Close, GL Close, and CM Close.
- Supervise IC cash and bank transaction postings, IC payment execution, IC disbursement, IC inter-house banking, IC vendor transactions, and IC bank statement downloads.
- Manage IC Fixed Asset processes, covering IC Addition, IC Retirement, IC Depreciation, IC Reconciliation, IC Adjustments, and IC Evaluation.
- Perform IC balance sheet reconciliation, analysis, and resolution of IC open items, ensuring financial accuracy.
- Enforce strict adherence to Control and Compliance standards for IC, complying with internal control requirements and audit processes.
- Proactively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve IC queries and address IC issues promptly.
- Identify and share best practices within the IC team and actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives for IC processes.
- Drive improvement projects in the Intercompany (IC) Process, including the implementation of SMART OCR, RPA, and KPI enhancements.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the business to identify solutions, best practices, and opportunities for enhancing service to our business partners in IC.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications such as a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountancy are advantageous but not mandatory.
- 3-5 years of experience with a focus on RTR/Intercompany processes or financial reporting.
- Good knowledge in MS office
- Strong understanding of accounting concepts and principles.
- Effective English communication skills, written and verbal / For BOG & CTU - Spanish & Mandarin language skills.
- Exposure to working with Enterprise Resource Platforms (ERPs) -
