Sethu's Inclusive Education team works with children with developmental disabilities, especially GlobalDevelopmental Delays, Specific Learning disability, ASDand ID,and their families to assess and develop appropriate goals, and implement an intervention plan.
Role
- Conduct academic and life skills assessments and interventions with children and parents as per Sethu's SOPs.
- Evaluate needs using Sethu's family-centred care approach.
- Develop and implement intervention plans.
- Maintain timely and accurate records of clinical notes in the Electronic Health Records (EHRs).
- Coach parents.
- Train clients, families, teachers and other professionals.
- Visit schools to promote inclusion.
- Participate in research activities as required, in accordance with SOPs.
- Actively participate in advocacy, including writing articles and social media posts.
Mandatory Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma in Special Education (B.Ed/ M.Ed preferred).
- Commitment to work at Sethu for 2 years.
Skills and Competencies
- Three years of work experience preferred although freshers may also apply.
- Fluent in English, Hindi and Konkani.
- Must have own transport and be willing to visit schools in Goa.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;able to collaborate with a team of inter-disciplinary professionals, children and families.
- Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; willing to use EHRs after training.
- Must be punctual, possess integrity and a growth mindset, and be willing to adhere to Sethu's policies and work ethic.
