- Individualized Education Program (IEP) Development: Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to develop and implement personalized IEPs for students with special needs. Ensure that the IEP goals are tailored to each student's unique strengths, challenges, and learning objectives.
- Differentiated Instruction: Plan and deliver individualized instruction that accommodates diverse learning styles and abilities. Utilize a range of evidence-based instructional strategies, assistive technologies, and specialized materials to support student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect, empathy, and cooperation among students. Implement behavior management strategies, foster positive social interactions, and provide support to students with challenging behaviors.
- Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Conduct ongoing assessments to evaluate students academic progress, identify areas of improvement, and make data-driven instructional decisions. Regularly update student records, maintain accurate documentation of progress, and communicate assessment results to parents and relevant stakeholders.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to promote effective communication and teamwork. Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and other collaborative activities to share insights, discuss student progress, and develop cohesive strategies for meeting student needs.
- Individual and Group Instruction: Provide both individual and small-group instruction to students with special needs, addressing their specific learning objectives and challenges. Adapt instructional materials and activities to accommodate various learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students can access the curriculum.
- Professional Development: Stay updated with current research, best practices, and developments in special education. Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in supporting students with special needs.
- Qualifications:
Diploma, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
At least 1 year of demonstrated experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, or developmental disabilities.
Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and IEP development processes.
Strong understanding of different instructional strategies, assistive technologies, and accommodations to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and fellow educators.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Commitment to professional growth and a passion for advocating for students with special needs.
Salary: 20000/month 60000/month depending on the level of expertise and experience.
