The ideal candidate will hold a B.Ed in Special Education and possess a minimum of three years of hands-on experience as a Special Educator. As a Special Educator, you will play a crucial role in providing individualized support and fostering an inclusive learning environment for students with diverse learning needs.
- Individualized Instruction: Design and implement tailored instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct assessments to identify students strengths and challenges, and regularly evaluate progress through various assessment tools.
- Collaboration: Work closely with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Adaptation of Curriculum: Modify and adapt curriculum materials to ensure accessibility and comprehension for students with diverse learning abilities.
- Behavioral Support: Provide behavioral interventions and support to help manage and improve student behavior, creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Professional Development: Stay abreast of current trends, research, and best practices in special education through continuous professional development.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, assessments, and interventions in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines.
- Qualifications:
- BA / MA In Psychology or Counselling Psychology.
Bachelor's degree in Special Education (B.Ed in Special Education).
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Special Educator.
- Strong understanding of various learning disabilities and strategies to address them.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with special needs.
