About The Role

We are now looking for a SOX PMO (Program Management Office) Officer, Risk & Control to manage the SOX end-to-end project lifecycle and its various aspects along with the onshore team in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The roles and responsibilities include coordination, communication, and facilitation of SOX audit related operations.

A successful project management professional requires a dynamic personality and ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment. Furthermore, a PMO Officer should be able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, be able to balance multiple competing priorities, and strive for continuous improvement to drive beneficial business outcomes.

B.responsible: key areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide end to end project management support to the onshore SOX Centre of Excellence (COE) team including COE India team based in Bangalore
  • Perform SOX audit coordination activities including status reporting across different phases of the audit lifecycle including planning & scoping, walkthrough scheduling, evidence request coordination, testing, issues mitigation and remediation
  • Define project scope and success criteria aligning with business objectives
  • Understand milestones and impediments, tracks and report progress, manages overall timelines, dependencies, risks & issues & monitor interdependencies (within & outside project)
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (3 lines of defense) to ensure smooth functioning of the SOX audit
  • Work on improving the ways of working with multiple stakeholders (internal and external) to streamline the audit process
  • Enable team members & leaders from involved departments to make quality decisions
  • Hold project members accountable for the delivery of their part of the project
  • Supports building of PM capabilities within the organization and other teams

B.skilled


Experienced project manager with 5+ years experience with a proven track record in managing the full end-to-end audit project lifecycle.

  • Understanding of different regulations and standards such as SOX, GDPR, PCI-DSS, ISO27001, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in creating dashboards for Project Management using Power BI, Tableau or Qlikview.
  • Hands-on work experience in testing of business and/or IT controls evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of controls pertaining to internal controls over financial reporting
  • Experience in risk and internal control processes and programs is preferred
  • PMP or Agile Project Management or equivalent certification is preferred
  • Solid experience in creating reporting, status trackers, presentation packs for senior leadership team
  • Proven ability to navigate & execute projects in agile environment, without over-engineering things
  • Enjoys a fast paced, dynamic environment and able to work under pressure
  • Pragmatic, able to solve several impediments by him/herself & can-do mindset
  • Experience working with a Big4 is preferred
