Role Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Solutions Analyst specializing in Admissions. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Campus Solutions admissions functionality and a solid understanding of UK-specific localizations such as UCAS and DfE Apply. This role involves functional design, testing, and some technical skills to ensure our Campus Solutions admissions processes meet the needs of our institution.
Requirements
- Functional Design
- Analyze and understand business requirements for the admissions process and translate them into functional specifications.
- Design and configure Campus Solutions admissions functionality to meet different institutional needs.
- Ensure the admissions module integrates seamlessly with other Campus Solutions modules, such as Academic Structures and Campus Community.
- Provide input on system enhancements and new functionality based on user feedback and industry best practices.
- Testing
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and scripts for the admissions functionality.
- Conduct system, integration, and user acceptance testing to ensure the admissions module performs as expected.
- Identify, document, and resolve defects and issues in the admissions system.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure test environments are correctly configured and maintained.
- Technical Skills
- Utilize basic technical skills to support the functional configuration of the admissions module.
- Work with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to admissions functionality.
- Understand and apply technical concepts to enhance the performance and usability of the admissions system.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Education, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of Campus Solutions admissions functionality.
- Understanding of UK admissions localizations within Campus Solutions, such as UCAS and DfE Apply.
- General knowledge of other areas of Campus Solutions, especially Academic Structures and Campus Community functionality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in higher education or related industry.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
- Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
