- Provides technical design support for logistics solutions (new and existing business), including data gathering and analysis (including questionnaire), process design, lay-out design, costing of the solution, and sensitivity analysis while applying CEVA's commercial guidelines
- Calculate physical resource requirements (eg. Labor, MHE, facility size, layout, location, etc) required to physically perform a proposed warehousing solution, with support from team members
- Consult subject matter experts (internal and/or external stakeholders) from relevant business disciplines in a timely manner to assist in solution development
- Translate the calculated resource requirements into a commercial model and evaluate the results (from customer and CEVA perspective)
- Participate in the presentation of warehousing solutions to customers and internal stakeholders
- Obtain signoff on the proposed solution as per Solution Design RACI/Process
- Learn how to identify synergies within other CEVA operations / partners to maximise utilisation of resources, assets as well as productivity and margins
- Accompanies handover of successful proposals to CEVA Operations during the project implementation phase, develops an awareness of the issues which are pertinent to operational implementation and develops appropriate solutions
- Looks always for improvement (on day-to-day job) and work well as a team to achieve the overall departmental goals more effectively
- Proactive person and works well under time constraints
Requirements
- Preferrably Master's degree in business, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Working experience in logistics and supply chain, consulting, and/or manufacturing
- Knowledge of MS office, specifically. MS Access, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of AutoCAD design software, or similar
- Warehousing, transport, supply chain design, industrial engineering, manufacturing
- Understanding of transportation systems, warehousing systems, financial modelling, and integrated logistics
- Understanding of financial concepts and financial management
- Commercial senses
- Project management skills
