The Opportunity:
As a Platform Architect, you will be part of a high-performing team specialized in SAP BTP contributing to the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and operations. You will focus on managing the platform as a product closely collaborating with platform users and other stakeholders to co-create solutions to maximize the value delivered by the agile teams within your product(s) area and application teams..
Your key responsibilities:
- Interact with project/application teams, and business analysts for requirements and provide technical expertise/advice on the potential feasibility of using BTP
- Lead technical design /technical architecture of SAP BTP solutions, participate in/contribute to workshops/sessions with functional teams and Business IT to plan, prioritize, and design solutions/applications on BTP, ensuring alignment with customer business needs and platform best practices
- Design tools, accelerators, and platform reusable assets by gathering feedback from platform users and proactively seeking opportunities to help deliver solutions at speed for a faster time to market
- Support evaluation of new services offered by SAP on BTP through conducting proof of concept, document findings, and best practices aligned to Roche Informatics overarching guardrails
- Contribute to the design of governance models to support the build and run operational processes of the defined technical solutions to ensure that they are developed in a scalable, secure, and effectively integrated with existing systems
- Stay current on BTP trends and best practices and apply trends to customer needs
Who you are:
- 5+ years of experience working with SAP with strong knowledge of SAP BTP services like SAP Build process automation, Mobile services, Build workzone, HANA cloud, XSUAA, Business Application Studio, application logging, Integration Suite, and cloud-native design and development principles
- Experience with Cloud Application Programming Model(CAPM), UI5, node js, and java. Python is an advantage
- Sound understanding of authentication, authorization, and cloud foundry security concepts
- Good exposure to integration design patterns for connecting BTP with various on-prem and cloud systems
- Knowledge/experience of ABAP and OData is a plus
- Experience using Gitlab and knowledge of SCM DevOps practices
- Customer focus and proactive responsiveness to project and customer needs
- Communication skills, ability to convey ideas, and translate business requirements to technical design
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment consisting of cross-functional teams
