The Solution Architect completes detailed solution designs for stories within the product backlog
Their primary stakeholders are product owners, fellow Architects (Enterprise Architect, Data, Platform, Process and Business) and pod members
They are accountable for defining the solution design, in alignment with the technology strategy and roadmap, and articulating associated architectural risks, issues and technical debt
The Solution Architect may also provide architectural leadership across a portfolio of change
Skills Needed :
Leadership experience at intermediate Level
Should pro-actively engage in research tasks.
Strong Communication skills to enable the communication with impact
Beginner level consulting skills
Expert level in stakeholder/relationship management.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Good Understanding of governance
At least 3 years of relevant solution architecture experience
Experience and/or certification in at least one cloud platform (GCP preferable)
Capable user of popular diagramming software (Visio, Draw.io, etc)
TOGAF certification is a plus
Experience in Financial Services a plus
Working knowledge of ML and AI systems is desirable, but not essential.
Tasks to perform :
Accountable for ensuring the products & services are supported by the right architectures and solutions meet the customer needs.
Accountable for ensuring the design of the product solutions are cost effective and maintained through the agile development lifecycle, managing the flow of the backlog of design activities.
Work with Ops Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc.) are resolved and that any design related issues are addressed in a timely manner.
Convert requirements into actionable product/service requirements that feed Technology and/or data solutions development & influence service direction.
Responsible for ensuring solutions are aligned with the platform architecture and roadmap, group standards and policies, reference architectures and the overall enterprise architecture for their function.
