JOB OVERVIEW
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and reliability of software systems used in critical regulatory processes. Your expertise will play a vital role in conducting rigorous testing, validating compliance with industry standards, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that align with the stringent requirements of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
KEY RESPONSIBLIITIES
- Test Strategy & Documentation: Develop and maintain test plans, cases, UAT, and smoke test scripts; document testing procedures and outcomes.
- Manual & Automated Testing: Execute comprehensive manual and automated test strategies, including functional, performance, and regression testing.
- Data Integrity: Use SQL for data testing to ensure system consistency.
- Defect Management: Identify and document software defects; collaborate with developers on issue diagnosis and resolution.
- Automation Development: Create automated test frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript; maintain scripts for UI, API, and end-to-end scenarios.
- Regression & Styling Testing: Perform regression and visual change detection tests to validate code changes and styling accuracy.
- Release & Troubleshooting Support: Conduct acceptance testing during release cycles, troubleshoot test failures, and manage test environments.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Engage with cross-functional teams, incorporating client feedback, and support process improvements in QA methodologies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, ideally in regulatory-focused environments within pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.
Minimum Requirements
- QA Expertise: Proven experience in regulatory compliance (e.g., FDA, EMA) with strong command of manual and automated testing methodologies, including proficiency in tools such as Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, Playwright, and TypeScript.
- Test Strategy & Execution: Skilled in test plan design, UAT, smoke testing, and regression testing, with strong documentation and technical writing skills.
- Automation & Debugging: Proficiency in automated testing, command-line operations, debugging tools, and version control (Git); experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- SDLC Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), especially Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Sharp analytical skills for defect management and resolution, with a detail-oriented approach to bug detection.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with web technologies, API testing, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and virtualization.
- Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communicator, able to convey complex concepts effectively across diverse stakeholders; experience with test case management tools.
- Adaptability & Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving and efficient time management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: ISTQB, CSTE, or other QA certifications.
