Detailed description:
Software Product Owner
Transforming how we interact with our vehicles to make the driving experience more enjoyable, connected and safe
- The Mission of this Role:
This role represent the customer to the internal teams. Have extensive knowledge on vehicle architecture and the product requirements. Work closely with the customer on clarifying requirements, prioritizing features, align the planning and oversee the SW delivery of the project.
Acts as a single point of contact for all internal and external customers or suppliers for the software development team. Responsible for defining and prioritizing work, assessing the project delivery and quality status, highlight and escalate potential risks.

Program planning and execution
Work closely with the customer to defines feature delivery plan aligned with internal teams and feasibility. Align the plan with CRE teams and other stakeholders.
Creates a work breakdown structure in collaboration with architects and develop user stories and feature rollouts.
Distributes the work breakdown to the software technical teams.
Work with the software development teams for a project planning, prioritization, track the program execution of various work products and report out to the senior leadership.
Manages program dependencies and risk proactively, and escalate further as necessary.
Informs SW Project Delivery Manager about feasibility of sprints, iterations and full scope. Escalates as necessary important problems and risks, related to SW execution.

Leads meetings to identify issues, clarify requirements as required , add any specific requirements , tracks progress on quality targets and drives to ensure all the quality steps in project development are conducted.
Ensures necessary project metrics are collected and reported during metrics analysis. Ensures quality to agreed targets, leads software release activities.

Ensures latest software processes and procedures are used per feasibility for the applications project. Responsible for ensuring all development tools, versions and licenses required for the program are identified. Represents the software team in change control board meetings.
Ensure the quality of release through release readiness reviews
Collaboration with internal teams
Acts as a liaison between software and non-software teams (ex. product assurance, system requirements, electrical and supplier) in resolving issues arising out of inter-discipline dependencies.
Coordinates with other members of software customer delivery where common requirements exist between projects, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing. Coordinates software development activities with the team of software engineers.

- Key Experience required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of automotive software development and delivery experience
- Min. 3 years of experience in leading teams as a lead engineer
- Experience of managing distributed development teams is preferred
- Good knowledge of software development life cycle, agile methodologies
- Min. 3 years of experience in SW project management role
- Knowledge of Project Management for execution of Automotive Software development Projects
- Knowledge of programming languages and Real Time Operating Systems knowledge
- Experienced in Agile / SCRUM team leadership
- Familiarity with the standard Design techniques using UML tools
- Proven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can effectively work with all levels of a global matrixed organization
