We're still in startup mode with approximately 30 employees and looking for the next Software Engineering Manager to help propel Inflection forward. Do you want to join a fast growing startup that is aiming to build a very large company
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and prioritise engineering tasks.
Drive the architectural direction and technical strategy for the team, ensuring scalable, robust, and maintainable solutions.
Conduct regular one-on-ones and performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and supporting professional development.
Facilitate effective communication within the team and across departments, ensuring transparency and alignment.
Implement and maintain best practices in software development, including coding standards, code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
Identify and resolve technical and organisational challenges, promoting a healthy and productive work environment.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, incorporating relevant innovations into our projects.
Qualifications:
6+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software engineering, preferably in a startup environment.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, GoLang or C#
Strong understanding of database systems, both relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
Hands-on experience with message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Amazon SQS.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex engineering projects.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
