The Manager of Software Engineering within the Beckman Coulter Diagnostics business is responsible for leading teams of dedicated agile software engineers across multiple subject areas, and products.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Manage, mentor and develop team members to increase their skills, support their development and ensure the achievement of the quality and delivery goals
- Oversee the creation of test protocols and reports, guide the development of test fixtures and test benches, ensure timely reporting of identified issues, and supervise the execution of test cases and protocols to guarantee product quality and compliance.
- Oversee the planning and implementation of software development projects, guide the architecture and design of software solutions, ensure timely resolution of identified development issues, and supervise the execution of development activities to guarantee high-quality and efficient software delivery.
- Work closely with QA, project management, and other stakeholders to synchronize priorities, identify opportunities for process improvement, and drive enhancements for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 12+ years of experience OR Master's/Doctoral degree with 7+ years of experience, including 3+ years leading people
- Minimum of 5+ years experience on software development life cycle i.e. being involved in development and verification (OOP concepts, SQL, Automated testing, Privacy & Security)
- Experience with configuration management tools like Enterprise Architect, GIT, JIRA, ADO, ALM
- Understanding of software development processes lifecycle (requirements, design, code, test) under ISO 13485/9000/27001/ FDA
- Ability to develop strong teams, strategically deploy resources, enable a positive team culture and work with cross-functional/remote teams (stake holders localized in France)
