Job Summary:
We're seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team, specializing in troubleshooting customer issues, handling escalated support cases, and possessing expertise in Java, Microservices, Linux, Oracle, cybersecurity, networking, Kafka, and L3 support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex customer issues related to our software applications
- Handle escalated support cases from L2 teams, providing advanced troubleshooting and resolution
- Collaborate with development teams to identify and address the root causes of issues
- Design, develop, and implement solutions to improve application performance, security, networking, and data streaming aspects
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in cybersecurity, networking, software development, data streaming (Kafka), and L3 support
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to security, networking, data streaming, and L3 support best practices
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, network operations, data engineering, and L3 support teams to integrate security solutions, network architecture, Kafka data pipelines, and L3 support processes
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for troubleshooting, maintenance, network configuration, Kafka cluster management, and L3 support tasks
Requirements: _
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- At least 2+ years of experience in software development, troubleshooting, networking, data streaming (Kafka), and L3 support
- Strong expertise in:
- Java and Spring Boot
- Linux operating systems
- Oracle database management
- Cybersecurity principles and practices
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, routers, switches, firewalls)
- Network protocols and architectures (LAN, WAN, VPN, cloud networking)
- L3 support principles and practices (troubleshooting, debugging, root cause analysis)
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles, Agile methodologies, network design principles, data streaming architectures, and L3 support processes
Good to Have:
- Kafka data streaming (producers, consumers, topics, partitions, brokers)
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP), networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP), software development (e.g., Oracle Certified Java Programmer), data streaming (e.g., Confluent Certified Kafka Developer), or L3 support (e.g., HDI Certified Advanced Support Technician)
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), network virtualization (e.g., VMware NSX), software-defined networking (SDN), data streaming tools (e.g., Apache Storm, Apache Flink), or L3 support tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA Service Desk)
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes)
