UKG Kronos Technical Consultant (Bug Fixes)
Job Summary:
The UKG Kronos Technical Consultant specializing in bug fixes is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving technical issues within the UKG Workforce Management suite. This role involves working closely with clients and internal teams to troubleshoot and implement solutions for software bugs, ensuring optimal system performance and user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bug Identification and Resolution:
- Diagnose, prioritize, and resolve technical issues and bugs reported by clients or internal teams.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and provide long-term solutions.
- Collaborate with UKG support and engineering teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- System Maintenance and Optimization:
- Regularly monitor system performance and logs to proactively identify potential issues.
- Apply patches and updates to the system to prevent bugs and improve performance.
- Optimize system configurations and settings for better stability and efficiency.
- Client Support and Communication:
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Communicate bug fixes, system updates, and changes to clients in a clear and professional manner.
- Train and educate clients on system best practices and preventive measures.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Document all issues, solutions, and changes in detail for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Generate reports on bug trends, system performance, and client support activities.
- Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with implementation, development, and quality assurance teams to understand product features and common issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and tools used for bug tracking and resolution.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of UKG Workforce Management products, particularly Kronos.
- Proficiency in SQL, Java, and other relevant programming languages and tools used in UKG systems.
- Experience with system integration, interfaces, and APIs related to UKG products.
- Problem-Solving Abilities:
- Excellent analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize issues based on severity and impact.
- Communication Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and documenting issues.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a technical support or consulting role, preferably with UKG products.
- Relevant certifications in UKG/Kronos systems are a plus.

- Experience in a client-facing role, with the ability to build strong relationships and manage client expectations.
