Job Description

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

This position performs advanced research, design, and software development assignments within the front-end domain. The role requires expertise in modern web technologies and frameworks, with a focus on creating efficient, scalable, and user-friendly web applications. The position demands the ability to work independently on complex tasks, solve intricate problems, design program flow, implement effective coding practices, and conduct thorough unit testing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience with a focus on front-end technologies
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience required

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Expert proficiency in React, including advanced concepts and best practices
  • Strong experience with Node.js for front-end tooling and server-side rendering
  • Advanced knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Expertise in state management solutions (e.g., Redux, MobX, Recoil)
  • Experience in developing and maintaining component libraries
  • Proficiency in working with design tools like Figma and translating designs into code
  • Strong understanding of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility
  • Experience with modern build tools and module bundlers (e.g., Webpack, Rollup)
  • Proficiency in CSS preprocessors (e.g., SASS, LESS) and CSS-in-JS solutions
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and GraphQL
  • Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and SEO best practices
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library)
  • Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for front-end projects
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Design and develop high-quality, scalable front-end solutions using React, TypeScript, and related technologies
  • Collaborate closely with UX designers to implement visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces
  • Develop and maintain reusable component libraries to ensure consistency across projects
  • Implement state management solutions to handle complex application states efficiently
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to best practices and coding standards
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex front-end issues across various browsers and devices
  • Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability
  • Work independently on assigned tasks while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's technical growth
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in front-end development
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment
  • Contribute to technical discussions and architecture decisions for front-end projects
  • Ensure proper unit testing and integration testing of developed components
  • All other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a deep passion for front-end technologies and user experience. They should be able to work independently, mentor others, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders. A portfolio demonstrating experience with complex React applications and component libraries is highly desirable.
