What's the role:
As a Software Engineer, you will be designing & writing software for the products we are creating.Some of the activities include following:
Attend the team Stand-ups and share what was accomplished yesterday and planned for today. Discuss the design/implementation approach of new features and negotiate acceptance criteria.
Write clean, efficient code implementing features with sufficient test coverage, and deploy and validate your solution.
Participate in code peer reviews, respond to yours.
Learn new things as well as become an expert in our HERE domain and services.
Who are you:
Bachelor or master's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent:
2+ years of software design & development experience. Good to have experience in working on distributed scalable system
Excellent skills in Java and/or Scala programming.
Good knowledge of System Design and Algorithms
Experience in REST based web service technologies, JSON and XML, micro services architectures
Solid knowledge of programming practices, strive to write great code that is reusable, flexible, and reliable.
Proficiency in using CI/CD and collaboration tools (e.g. JIRA, GitLab, Wikis)
Self-motivated, well-organized, details-oriented and a strong team player with an agile mindset.Knowledge of data structures and algorithms is must
Experience with Apache Spark, Amazon Web Services and AWS EMR is considered a plus
