The Application Developer is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing and testing new software solutions, modifying and enhancing existing solutions, and troubleshooting software problems reported by users.
The development environment is fast paced, with multiple projects being developed simultaneously. A strong team environment exists, where frequent collaboration and knowledge sharing is encouraged. Agile programming techniques are employed where appropriate.
Persons in this role are encouraged to be proactive taking the initiative to design systems and processes that will benefit the immediate project as well as other related projects in the future. Developers must integrate legacy systems with new solutions developed using the latest technologies.
The Application Developer will work closely with other members of the Development Team, which include roles such as business analyst, quality assurance specialist, and other developers.
