Institutional Banking Data Platform (IDP) is state-of-the-art cloud platform engineered to streamline data ingestion, transformation and data distribution workflows that underpin Regulatory Reporting, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Quants and Trader Surveillance.
In your role as Software Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability of the platform, performing maintenance and support activities, and driving innovative process improvements that add significant business value.

Roles & Responsibilities:
All aspects of the SDLC which includes Analysis, Estimation, Design, Development, Testing, Quality Assurance, Support, Maintenance and Optimization tasks.
Develop and deploy high quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage without supervision.
Analyse business objectives and identify functional and non-functional requirements.
Design and implement technical solutions for functional and non-functional requirements.
Provide accurate estimates for the development effort for new features.
Continuously improve and improvise to find the best solutions for business
Provide mentoring and technical assistance to other members of the team.
Work well with different team members whilst practicing knowledge sharing and T-shaping
System, user & operational acceptance test support.
Drive pragmatic and fit for purpose solutions of high technical quality. Act as Quality Advocate for the squad, encourage critical thinking mindset and drive prevention of defects over detection of defect
Provide tools, expertise, and knowledge to help squad gain a shared understanding of outcome and shared ownership of quality
Familiarity and experience with automated testing. Pro-actively look for ways to provide faster feedback, including uplift in test automation maturity in the squad.
Work collaboratively with engineers within and across squads.
Support the team in delivering quality outcomes within committed time frames
Essential Skills:
Experience: 4+ years of industry experience
Development Methodologies: Core Java, REST APIs, Microservices, experience on Spring boot Framework, AWS
Cloud technology knowledge is preferred
Programming Languages: Java with good knowledge of OOPS concepts and design patterns.
CI/CD: Any Git tool for source control. Build tools like TeamCity or Jenkins and experience with deployment tooling like Octopus or similar.
Monitoring: Familiarization with Splunk or a similar monitoring tool.
Soft skills: Excellent communication skills. Working experience with Agile methodologies
Education Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
