This position is responsible for participating as a support, enhancements & development in highly-complex or business-critical applications, as well as user query resolution and supporting them as needed.
Problem solving skills to handle Severity 1, 2 & 3 production support issues and triaging them to closure and handle the Service Now end to end flow.
Job Responsibilities
Understand the enterprise architecture within the context of existing platforms, services and strategic direction.
Willingness to support during weekends as well as night shifts managing via a roster
Digest broader enterprise, horizontal view across all technical disciplines to evaluate interoperability and incorporate it in solution architecture
Implement end-to-end solutions with Big Data analytics framework along with customized solutions that support the end user questions and clarifies the data with verification and validations..
Drive innovative solutions within the platform to establish common components, while allowing customization of solutions for different products.
Verify accuracy, performance, scalability, stability, cost-effectiveness and maintainability of team delivery.
Perform hands-on technology and product issues to support the end users and implement company policies, standards and best practices.
Ability to analyze the Data issues, application issues and triaging them based on need.
Develop design specifications, continuous build and deployment strategy to drive Agile methodology. Recommend changes on project design concepts to improve efficiency.
Setup and manage expectations with tech & product teams engaged in the projects.
Handing the Software Upgrades, security patches, problem
Tech Stack Requirements: Java, Big Data, Spark, Spark SQL, Presto Hive, SQL, Cloud (preferably AWS), Docker, RDBMS (such as Postgres and/or Oracle), Linux, Shell scripting, GitLab, Airflow.
Role Requirements
E - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering (any), or related (foreign equivalent degree acceptable), plus 5+ years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressively-responsible post-baccalaureate experience as a professional developer in information technology solutions development, or related. Having studied statistical methods and operation research is a plus
E - Be able to work on Production Support tickets and support during weekends including night-shifts
E - Job monitoring skills & restarting procedures, creating the Runbook and maintaining them.
E - Have worked on Product support and maintenance related projects
E - Demonstrated effective analytical, oral and written communication, ticket management, and strategic problem-solving and solution-finding skills.
E - 2+ years of experience in Java with a mastery of object-oriented design principles;
E - 1+ years of experience: big data using nosql like mongodb or Spark in developing distributed processing applications; building applications with immutable infrastructure in the AWS (Amazon Web Services) Cloud with automation technologies like Terraform or Ansible or CloudFormation.
P - Any level of experience in and/or knowledge of: Hadoop, Service-oriented architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, Scala, Airflow, SQL, NoSQL, Spark Streaming, and Git.
P - Demonstrated ability to problem solve & communicate the issues to data analytics and ingestion technologies
P- Knowledge of Agile software development methodology
P - Demonstrated knowledge of software development technology, principles, methods, tools, and practices and industry standards and trends; and current web and database technologies.
