Job Overview
As a Software Engineer (Backend), you will work closely with our experienced development team to design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and APIs.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop efficient server-side solutions using Node.js and Python.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Integrate backend systems with databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Contribute to code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and propose improvements to the existing tech stack.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 1+ years of experience in backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js / Python.
- Experience with designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of databases, specifically PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Ability to write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS APIs and CloudFormation
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Exposure to message queues and event-driven architectures.
- Understanding of software design patterns and principles.
