nQuickBooks Online Payroll Engineering team is on a mission to build a great payroll product that caters to a wide range of customers including small, medium and mid market companies across the globe. Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join our Payroll Product Development Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full stack development. A proven track record of implementing AI solutions would be a plus.n

Responsibilities:

• nDesign, develop, and maintain software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks
• nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement AI solutions
• nWrite clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• nCreating reusable libraries and patterns in an open-source contribution model
• nParticipate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• nSpeed as a Habit can operate in a fast-moving environment, make quick decisions and execute fiercely to deliver outcomes.
• nDeep Dive Take passion in going deep into critical issues and apply the technical/process/mindset-change learnings back into the product and team.
• nEnd To End Ownership Strategize and collaborate with Architects and developers within and cross team, prioritize and sequence requirements, ship products at high quality with emphasis on operational excellence.
• nCustomer Obsession is maniacal and a staunch advocate for the customer.
• nAdhere to Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies
• nSupporting and coaching other engineers, pair programming or peer reviewing code, helping to ensure that all engineers are growing and part of a community
• nStay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in AI and software development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• n2+ years of experience in full stack development
• nProficiency in programming languages such as Java, and JavaScript
• nExposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment
• nAbility to architect or develop features for enterprise scale systems is a given.
• nStrong understanding of the Software design/architecture/data-backed-decision-making processes.
• nExcellent metrics-driven decision making complemented by Problem solving and effective communication Skills
• nExperience with Collaborative Software Development using Github.
