Senior Manager (M3) - Product Development

Are you passionate about the blockchain/distributed ledger technology and its potential to change the financial services landscape Oracle Blockchain Platform is an enterprise-grade, pre-assembled blockchain-as-a-service platform deployable in Oracle Cloud, on-premises, and multicloud infrastructures, driving innovation in digital assets applications, CBDCs, Deposit Tokens and Securities. As Consulting Member of Technical Staff in the Oracle Mission-Critical Database Technologies development organization, you will own multiple components of the FinTech Data Platform integrating and evolving Oracle Blockchain Platform, in-Database Blockchain Tables, and advanced Transaction Management technologies. As a hands-on, senior manager in the development organization, you will have a team of dedicated developers working on cutting edge technology, developing innovative features and providing operational support for this mission-critical platform. You will be expected to work with senior management, product managers and architects and be responsible for deliverables for your team. Deliverables include functional specs/design documents, implementation of new features and maintenance and operational support for releases already in production. You will also be expected to interact with various cross-functional teams such as quality assurance, product security, cloud operations, release management, customer support and other teams in order to perform your day-to-day activities. This is a hands-on position design and code contribution in addition to above responsibilities is expected as well.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of software design and development experience, out of which at least 3+ years managing software development teams.
  • Proven track record of on-time and high quality deliverables.
  • Experience in developing server-side features for highly complex, distributed transaction processing systems.
  • Should have expert level demonstrable experience in at least two of the following programming languages, such as in Java, Go or Node.JS, and with scripting languages: Python, Perl, shell, etc.
  • Strong understanding of server virtualization technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, etc. and public cloud infrastructures, especially as it relates to networking and security.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and processes in a cloud environment (e.g., Jenkins, Teamcity, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
  • Strong verbal/written communications, organizational and time management skills.
  • Sense of ownership, passion to build, support and maintain quality products for mission-critical use cases at massive scale in collaborative, agile environment and excitement to learn.
  • BS in Computer Science
  • Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience working in highly distributed teams located across continents and timezones
  • Strong critical thinking and analysis skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS in Computer Science
  • Understanding of and demonstrated work experience in databases and distributed persistence technologies in mission-critical applications.
  • Understanding of and demonstrated work experience in blockchain technology and its applications in regulated financial services.
  • Experience developing blockchain solutions in open source setting or commercially in fintech space using multiple DLTs
  • Experience developing highly scalable OLTP applications with Oracle Database in payments, securities, trade, or similar
  • Familiarity with RegTech and SupTech in financial services, such as payments, securities trading, and trade finance
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance benchmarking/tuning skills.
  • Strong Understanding of security technologies: PKI, Cryptography, Identity Management, Confidential Payments, ZK Proofs and-rollups, Multi-Party Computing, multi-sig wallets
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to effectively manage project timelines and dependencies.
  • Demonstrated experience in cross-organizational collaboration

Career Level - M3

As a manager of the software engineering group, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture.
