Job Description
As an SDET 1, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining automated tests to ensure the quality of our web and mobile applications. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to identify issues early in the development process and drive overall product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated tests for web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with developers to understand the application architecture, design test cases, and identify edge cases.
- Write test scripts using test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium) and programming languages like JavaScript, Python, or Java.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing on the application features.
- Report bugs, performance issues, and usability problems to the development team, and track their resolution.
- Maintain and enhance the automated test suite, ensuring tests are reliable and scalable.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Learn and adapt to new testing tools and technologies to continuously improve testing processes.
Requirements
Must-Have:
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience as a QA Engineer or SDET, with exposure to automated testing.
- Test Automation: Familiarity with test automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.
- Programming: Basic proficiency in a programming language such as JavaScript, Python, or Java.
- Testing Techniques: Knowledge of testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration) and test case design.
- Version Control: Experience using Git for version control.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify issues and optimize testing processes.
Nice To Have
- CI/CD Integration: Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI for automated test execution.
- API Testing: Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
- Mobile Testing: Exposure to mobile test automation using Appium or other relevant tools.
