Our team verifies the Portal and APIs for configuring Akamai's Delivery and Security offerings. We conduct component, integration, and end-to-end tests for all configurability interfaces. We also test applications at scale to ensure they handle current traffic loads with room for growth. We fully automate our regressions.
Partner with the best
You will be tasked with verification of Akamai's customer-facing Portal, covering front-end and back-end services.
Collaborating with team members, developers, and other SDET teams, you will become an expert in system-wide verification and automation.
As a Software Development Engineer in Test Senior Lead, you will be responsible for-
- Leading and mentoring a team of SDETs tasked with verification of multiple applications or program deliverables
- Contributing to test strategies and test plans to ensure comprehensive coverage replicating production scenarios
- Ongoing review of application specifications and designs to confirm completeness and accuracy of test plans and test cases
- Doing effective automation of tests and their maintenance and management
- Ongoing efforts to improve test frameworks, automation, as well as its reliability and runtime
Do What You Love
To be successful in this role you will-
- Have at least 6.5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Understand testing of Distributed Systems composed of microservices
- Understand web application structure and essential underpinnings of how the Internet works (DNS, HTTP)
- Have experience with both UI and API testing
- Have demonstrated experience in developing test automation in either Python or Java
- Communicate clearly, create clarity, and have robust interpersonal skills. Enjoy leading a team.
- Experience with working in an Agile environment utilizing the Atlassian suite of tools, including Jira and Zephyr
- Be familiar with Performance testing including load, stress, and scalability
